THE BRIEF
Future Society is a new unique fragrance brand. Using bioscience and genomic markers, they resurrect the scent of extinct flowers, bringing them to to life in a variety of products.
Future Society wanted to create an immersive and viral ready mailer experience to showcase two separate new fragrances, while introducing the brand to influencers. The goal was a design that would be a permanent leave behind, and not just another disposable box.
Starting with sketch concepts, I explored several directions with the client and delivered an experience that would create an aura of mystery and excitement. Multiple doors that open to tell the story of the products and maximize the time influencers spend engaging with the product.
FINAL DESIGN
Working with overseas manufacturing partners, we produced a painted custom MDF structure with four hinged doors that open in sequence to show two product compartments with LED lighting and faux-moss backgrounds, while three backlit panels showcase the brand's unique visual assets. I was responsible for 3D renderings which were used to provide highly realistic visualizations for client approval and to aid the production team in bringing this product to life. The mailer was shared widely across fragrance Tik Tok and Instagram circles. My work here led to a long running partnership to create more mailers and other merchandise for Future Society.
