After many months of acquiring parts, I finally assembled my new computer tower, purpose built as a 3D rendering workstation, and I'm finally able to put it through its paces! The image below was modeled in Fusion 360, rendered in Keyshot 6.

Current system specifications: Core i7 5820k Haswell-E 6 core processor @3.3GHz, CRYORIG R1 Universal Dual Tower Heatsink, Gigabyte GTX 1070, ASUS x99-A Motherboard, CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3000 RAM, and a Crucial MX300 2.5" 525GB SSD for storage running Windows 10.

CES 2016 Photos

Recently some renderings I created were featured at the Southern Telecom booth at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. I'm very pleased to be able to show a few photos taken at CES 2016. All product renderings were modeled in Solidworks and rendered in Keyshot 5:

TBS - Throwback Sunday - Art Deco Clock

This was a sophomore year ID project, we were assigned to create a clock based on a randomly prescribed historical art or design movement. Mine was Art Deco, and I built this skyscraper influenced working clock out of MDF, complete with a halogen light in the base. (Later this turned out not to have been the greatest idea, and after being turned on for several hours the heat of the bulb started to melt the plastic housing of the light. (Always go with LED's for modelmaking, kids!).

Unity 3D Experimentation

Unity 3D Experimentation

Here's a video of some Unity 3D game development experimentation I've been doing. Teaching myself some basic concepts, including 1st/3rd person controllers, terrain sculpting, skyboxes, lights, particles and trails. Drone model was created in Google Sketchup.
